About two weeks left to the presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S9, one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year. The leaks to date were not lacking, revealing the design of the device, but Evan Blass, leaker always on the piece, confirmed through new press images that the next top of the eternal rival Apple will have (still, some will say) the port for the headphone jack.

The presence or absence of the headphone jack on the top of the range is always discussing the lovers of this slice of the tech industry. Many expected the abandonment of this port on Galaxy S9, but Samsung (as well as LG and OnePlus, to name a few …) has opted for its maintenance even on the top of the 2018 range. The Galaxy S9 will see it with iPhone X, Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Pixel 2 and other successful smartphones that are “survived” at the absence of the headphone jack.

The criticism of Apple after the decision to remove the headphone jack from the iPhone 7 certainly not lacking, and to be honest are not lacking even today. Many users feel the limit, for example, that they can not listen to music while the iPhone is charging. Samsung probably kept in mind these criticisms thinking of the design and the news of the Galaxy S9. It’s true, technology is evolving, it is updated, but there are still many people who have not found convincing Bluetooth headsets and headphones.

The Evan Blass leak also shows the new DeX Pad, an updated version of the DeX dock for the Galaxy S8. The purpose of this device is to make it easier to connect the smartphone to a monitor, to use the first as if it were a PC. The DeX Pad includes additional USB ports, an HDMI port, and a USB-C.
