Users currently enrolled in the WhatsApp beta program can share their Status with the previously connected Facebook and Instagram accounts.
According to The Verge , WhatsApp is currently testing this new sharing feature. Status is the equivalent of Stories on Instagram and Facebook, which can be shared with your WhatsApp contacts in the address book. Soon it will then be possible to share Status as an Instagram or Facebook Story, directly from the messaging service . In this way our contents will reach a greater number of people, through different social networks.
Facebook has had some difficulty integrating this function within WhatsApp, because it wants to keep the two services posted. The Facebook data are therefore not mixed with those of WhatsApp and vice versa , as Mark Zuckerberg had promised after the acquisition of the messaging service.
It is not yet clear if it will be possible to automatically share all the Stories through the three social networks, or it will be necessary to select the sharing option each time. It is likely that a similar function will soon arrive for Facebook and Instagram, in order to better integrate the function with different customisation and story creation tools.
