Meta’s proprietary instant messaging platform is testing a new in-app alert for when a Business account sends a message to users.

WhatsApp for iOS  is testing a new in-app alert related to Business accounts. The feature will come via a future software update.

According to WABetaInfo , the latest beta of WhatsApp, version 2.21.230.18, introduces this new in-app notification for users who receive messages from corporate accounts .

The blog explains: “When you receive a message from unknown company accounts, a new updated screen is shown. This explains that you have received a message from a company that is not saved in your contact list ”.

With this update, users can choose between two different options . Whether to block or save the activity in the contact list. According to the blog, this “redesigned view is available for specific beta testers”.

Not only that, WhatsApp is also preparing a major change for its macOS app as it is developing a new application using the Catalyst project .

As reported by WABetaInfo, this new project will pave the way for the long-awaited iPad app. The blog writes:

What does the macOS app look like? Just like the iPad app we spotted some time ago. They have the same interface, but WhatsApp for macOS will have some UI improvements – they are required to properly use the app on a desktop interface.
