On October 18, Apple will present the new laptops of its Pro line: will they have the notch? From a photo leaked online, it seems so.
September 12, 2017 on iPhone, October 18, 2021 on MacBook . These could be the two dates to remember for the debut of the “notch” on the two most popular categories of Apple products. The first is certain, given that we are talking about the iPhone X, the second a little less. It is in fact based on a probable leak that is circulating on the net a few hours after the Unleashed event.
In the image shared on the Chinese social network Weibo, the alleged upper body of the new MacBook Pro is immortalized , the one that would later host the display. A module that refers to the notch immediately catches the eye and includes the FaceTime Camera, the microphone and the sensor for True Tone.
Despite the notch, the new generation MacBook Pro shouldn’t include Face ID support . This solution would allow “only” to drastically reduce the thickness of the frame leaving ample space for the display. In this regard, thanks to the latest beta of macOS Monterey we may have discovered in advance the resolutions of the 14 and 16-inch panels: 3024 × 2160 and 3456 × 2234 respectively.
