The next generation of the low-end Apple Silicon chip will arrive in 2022 on board a new and colorful MacBook Air.

According to leaker Dylandkt, Apple is planning to launch the M2 chip  aboard a new redesigned MacBook Air model in the first half of 2022.

On Twitter, Dylandkt said a new ‌MacBook Air‌ model is “on track” for launch in the first half of 2022, with a ‌M2‌ chip and a more colorful design . In addition, the leaker also said that the “M1X” chip is reserved for high-end “Pro” Macs, namely the MacBook Pro and a larger and more powerful iMac model.

A few weeks ago, even the very reliable Jon Prosser said that the next generation MacBook Airg will feature a complete redesign and will be available in several color options, such as the new 24-inch iMac, and M2 chip.
