The well-known analyst claims that the high-end iPhone 12 will not only get support for 5G, but also an improved camera module with a larger sensor.

In a new note to investors, TF Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo claims that all iPhone 12 models will have a 7P lens .

The 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch iPhone 12 with dual cameras and the 6.1-inch model with triple rear camera, plus the new LiDAR scanner , will adopt a 1 / 2.6-inch 7P lens.

The analyst predicts that only the high-end 6.7-inch model , the iPhone 12 Pro Max , will get a new camera module for the wide-angle lens. This model will therefore have a 1 / 1.9 sensor , an increase compared to the 1 / 3.6 sensor that we find on the iPhone 11 Pro, and the sensor shift technology .

The iPhone 11 Pro models are equipped with optical image stabilization for both photos and videos, but only when using the Wide or Telephoto lens. Sensor shift technology would provide a solution for this, as stabilization would apply to the camera sensor itself and will not depend on any specific lens.

Kuo also predicted that at least one iPhone 2022 model will feature a periscope lens , which could allow for a 5x optical zoom  or even a 10x optical zoom .
