Yesterday the embargo for the Samsung S9 and 9+ ended and then the web came the first reviews we have already seen in this article. After the reviews, today is Benchmark’s day, a series of tests that assign a score to the performance of smartphones in various circumstances.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 + has passed these tests with excellent ratings: it is definitely a cut above all Android competitors and is by far the best performing Android device in the world. The smartphone has totaled 8,295 points thanks to its 8 cores when up to now the most performing was the Huawei Mate 10 Pro with “only” 6,784 points.

Great results for Samsung then, even if the performance of the new S9 + remain far lower than those of ‘ iPhone X and the iPhone 8/8 +, as Apple managed to get a good 10,357 points with only 6 cores instead of 8.

The Snapdragon 845 performs better than iPhone in the 3DMark Sling Shot chart test but worse in Sling Shot Unlimited. The iPhone is faster even in real use, taking only 42 seconds to transcode a 2-minute video from 4K to 1080p compared to 2 minutes and 32used by the S9 +. The iPhone also takes less time to launch almost any application and any game, especially the “heavier” ones.

From our tests, Apple’s A11 processor remains the fastest ever. The S9, however, is the best Android smartphone currently available, at least for performance. He declares Tom’s Guide
