During the event Unpacked 2015 last week Samsung showed, surprisingly, the first images of a new wearable device: the new smartwatch Gear S2
The wearable device market is becoming increasingly crowded, and is dominated by Apple Watch and other devices running android wear. The Gear S2 Samsung (with Tizen OS , ed) will be one smartwatch more “traditional”, with circular dial and no longer rectangular as previous models.
Samsung will unveil Gear S2 IFA to be held early next month. The first important change emerged from the images shown yesterday is that the device will be completely metal, which certainly will provide a more “premium”.
Another striking aspect is the user interface, which looks very similar to Apple watchOS Watch . Instead of crown digital device Apple, Gear S2 present a mobile ring. Here in the picture a first comparison:
