The well-known Swype keyboard of Nuance for iOS and Android will no longer be updated and supported. The team of developers has decided to focus its efforts on AI solutions for companies.
The news emerged when a Reddit user shared a message received from Nuance support. XDA-Developers carried out the necessary checks and confirmed the end of the support for both Android and iOS:
We are sorry to announce that the Swype keyboard for iOS will no longer be supported. Here is the press release from the Swype Product Team: Nuance’s Swype keyboard will no longer be available on the App Store. We are sorry to abandon the direct-to-consumer business, but this change is necessary to allow us to focus our attention on developing AI solutions to be sold directly to companies.
