Not surprisingly, considering the leak a few hours ago, Microsoft unveiled the Surface Laptop . It is a premium notebook, featuring an aluminum design, and Kaby Lake Processor Intel . Let’s find out all the features.

The Surface Laptop features a touch PixelSense display , 13.5 “, and 3: 2 ratio, just like the Surface Book. Of course, the display supports the Surface Pen. The processor of Intel machines are signed, namely i5 and i7 of the seventh generation. The internal storage (SSD) comes to a maximum of 512GB. As for the battery, Microsoft stated that should provide 14.5 hours of battery life . The installed operating system is the new Windows 10 S ( hence the study ).

The Surface Laptop is really very thin (only 9.9mm at the front and at the back 14,47mm), and not by chance that Microsoft has chosen the thinnest LCD module for a laptop. A special feature is the keyboard, covered with alcantara. It is a solution that the tech giant has already adopted for keyboards in a limited edition for the Surface Pro 4.

Another special feature of the machine is the technology for heat dissipation . This fact takes place via the integrated heatpipe into the chassis of the laptop. This choice has allowed to keep the really thin. Another new feature is the keyboard, or better speakers. Microsoft has decided to integrate the latter just below the keyboard , with the sound which is then spread through the buttons.

We also report the USB-A 3.0, a mini display port, a slot for reading SD cards, and a connector for the power supply of the machine. A little ‘surprise, lacks a USB-C .

The Surface Laptop can be purchased from June 15 at a starting price of $ 999 for the version with Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The laptop will be available in four colors: Platinum, Burgundy, Cobalt Blue and Graphite Gold.
