The next 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with mini-LED displays and new designs will go into mass production in Q3 2021.

According to Kuo, Apple is still on track to begin mass production of the upcoming redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros with mini-LED displays in the third quarter of this year.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about the upcoming redesigned high-end MacBook Pro models. Even DigiTimes, for example, had previously stated that Apple would release new MacBook models powered by the M1X chip by the end of the year.

Although mass production could begin in the third quarter, which runs from July to September, Kuo says Apple may still decide to hold a Mac event in October or November, rather than releasing the new machines during September’s dedicated Mac keynote. new iPhones.

Finally, the new MacBook Pros will feature the most radical redesign of the MacBook Pro line since 2016. Apple is planning to reintroduce the MagSafe port , an HDMI port and an SD card reader , as well as three Thunderbolt / USB-C ports.

Apple will eliminate the Touch Bar, which has not met with enormous success, in favor of the traditional row of function keys. In addition, the MacBooks will be equipped with a redesigned thermal system to house the new Apple Silicon chips.

Bloomberg recently said that the new MacBook Pro models will feature  a 10-core chip with eight high-performance cores and two power-saving cores , along with 16 or 32-core GPUsand support for up to 64GB of RAM. .
