The expert analyst returns to talk about one of the most anticipated products of the Cupertino company.

Apple’s much-rumored virtual reality headset will see the light in the second half of 2022 , according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The device will include two processors.

According to the latest note from Kuo , the main processor will be similar to the M1 chip that Apple introduced with the Macs of 2020. The other will instead be used for sensor management. Important note is that the viewer can be used without the need for pairing with a Mac or an iPhone.

We believe the AR headset that launches in Q4 of 2022 will have two processors. The high-end one will have a computing power equal to that of the M1 chip, while the lower-end one will take care of the sensors.

In addition to augmented reality, the viewer mentioned by Kuo will also support virtual reality thanks to the 4K Micro OLED display that Sony will provide.

Will 2022 really be the year of Apple’s first AR / VR device?
