Devices on the list continue to receive hardware support from Apple Service Providers, including Apple Stores, based on inventory availability or as required by law.

This week, Apple updated its list of vintage and obsolet i products to add a new device to the list. iPhone 5c , the first budget iPhone launched by Apple, is now considered a vintage product, which means that technical support for this model is now limited.

Vintage is defined as products that were discontinued more than five but less than seven years ago. Vintage Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod, and Apple TV products continue to receive hardware support from Apple Service Providers, including Apple Stores, based on inventory availability or as required by law.

Apple will stop manufacturing the device and make it obsolete in 2022 , which will permanently end technical support. iPhone 5s, introduced on the same day as the iPhone 5c, is not yet considered a vintage device as it has been available in stores for a long time.

iPhone 5c was introduced in September 2013 as a cheaper version of the iPhone 5. It features the A6 chip, a 4-inch LCD display and an 8-megapixel rear camera. The smartphone was built with a shiny plastic body and was available in five different colors: white, blue, green, pink and yellow.
