A very important leak from a credible source shows us what the AirPods Pro 2 will be like, which should arrive by the end of the year with the features of the Where’s app for finding, and new hardware for improved audio and lower consumption

The launch of the AirPods Pro 2 is expected later this year. 52audio has posted the images that should show this new model.

The same source had posted pictures of the third-generation AirPods before they were officially released by Apple. At that time various leaks showed headphones with a different design but only 52audio ‘s images proved to be correct so we have reason to believe that this time too the exclusivity is authentic.

The design of the AirPods Pro 2

Despite the existence of several rumours relating to the new AirPods Pro with a “button” design, ie without arms like the Beats Studio Buds, the site reports that the AirPods Pro 2 will have exactly the same design as the current model.

The charging case is identical except for two holes on the right side, useful for the passage of a lace that will allow users to wear them on the wrist or to favor a new range of accessories and covers.

We also find holes in the lower part, which should be used to reproduce a sound capable of making us find the headphones through the Where is application.

The headphones will keep the stem but the most significant changes will be at the hardware level. As we reported this morning , support for Bluetooth 5.2 and the use of the LC3 codec are expected, which will allow for higher audio quality, while reducing battery consumption. It will also improve the processor responsible for the Apple Lossless format (ALAC).

For some time there have also been rumors of the presence of sensors related to health monitoring integrated into the headphones but apparently with the new AirPods Pro 2 we will not be able to monitor heart rate or body temperature.
