The dummy unit of the alleged iPad mini 6 reveals that the device will have the same design as the current model.

According to several rumors, Apple will release two new iPad Pro models and the new iPad mini 6 this month, and a new report previews the design of the new devices.

Today, Sonny Dickson shared on Twitter images of the fictional versions of the new tablets of the Cupertino giant, units often used by home manufacturers before the official launch of the new devices.

As we can see from the images, the new iPad mini 6 has the exact same design as the current model, with upper and lower frame and Home button. However, Dickson says the tablet feels ” slightly thicker “.

A few months ago, Bloomberg’s Kuo and Mark Gurman claimed that the new iPad mini model would have a larger 8.5-9-inch display. Unfortunately, the images of this fictional unit contradict the statements of the two analysts.

Despite this, the final design of the device may be different, as the overall dimensions of the tablet may remain the same, but Apple may reduce the size of the bezels to accommodate a larger display in the same body.

As for the iPad Pro models, however, it is not surprising that the design is unchanged. The new 11 and 12.9-inch tablets are expected to be powered by the A14X chip , as revealed by the iOS 14.5 beta 5, a Thunderbolt port  and mini-LED display . Obviously, dummy drives cannot show these updates.
