Reliable Mark Gurman denies rumors about Apple’s March 16th event.

Yesterday, the trusted Mark Gurman said Apple has no plans to host any events on Tuesday, March 16.

Earlier this week, a report from Taiwan’s Economic Daily News suggested there would be an event on March 16. The site cited unverified and unsubstantiated content from the LeaksApplePro and FrontTron Twitter accounts, neither of which has a proven track record of providing accurate details about Apple’s plans.

The March 16 date was nothing more than a guess based on past Apple events, but it still garnered a lot of attention. In a tweet in response to commenting on a possible March event, Gurman confirmed that the March 16th date is incorrect .

However, in a separate tweet, he said “the launch is not the 16th”, which leaves open the possibility of a March event on a different date.

Apple has several products in the works that are expected to arrive in the first half of 2021, including an updated iMac, new iPad Pro models, an updated iPad mini, third-generation AirPods, second-generation AirPods Pro, and the long-awaited Bluetooth tracking device. of the company, namely the AirTag.

Some of these products may actually be introduced in a spring event, but there is still no known date for the hypothetical event. The company often held a spring event, but not annually. Past spring events were held on March 9, 2015, March 21, 2016, March 27, 2018, and March 25, 2019.
