Change of course compared to what was communicated so far. Apple has announced that iOS 13.1 will be released on September 24 instead of September 30 as previously scheduled.
iOS 13.1 available from September 24th
While you are upgrading to the first final version of iOS 13 then a new update is ready that will be released in just 5 days. This will include:
- The possibility of sharing the time of arrival at the destination with friends
- Volume HUD improvements
- New animated icons in the Home application
- Automations within Shortcuts (Commands)
- A new feature that improves AirDrop
- HomeKit Secure Video that will allow you to save video recordings on your iCloud storage
iPadOS 13 available from September 24th
Along with iOS 13.1 iPadOS, 13 will also arrive which will include all the new features of iOS 13 on iPhone with the addition of some exclusive features dedicated to iPads such as:
- An update of the Files application to support external keys
- New multitasking, which offers the possibility of making a Slide Over Expose
- New gestures to interact with texts
It follows that Apple Arcade for iPad will also be officially available from September 24th.
tvOS 13 available from September 30th
If you want to update your Apple TV you will have to wait until September 30th. The update will be available for both Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD. The Apple TV + service will be launched on November 1st.
- We will find a new redesigned Home Screen
- Applications like Music, TV and Photos renewed and fullscreen
- We will finally find the possibility to connect multiple users by obtaining the Home and the apps that each person uses, while also preserving the preferred display order
- The Control Center is introduced in the lateral part
- Support for Apple Arcade to play on TV using Playstation and Xbox controllers or any other MFI controller
MacOS Catalina available from October
Many new features for the Mac, such as the removal of iTunes in favour of separate applications dedicated to Music, TV and Podcasts. New application Photos, Reminders and Where is, just like on iOS.
Screen Time will also arrive on the Mac, and the Sidecar function will allow users to use the iPad as a screen extension.
