If you happen to travel, you will know that Facebook blocks your account when it detects unusual access, as it may be from another country. In this case, to unlock the account, you have to answer some questions, recognize friends, or make sure that our friends confirm our identity.

With the introduction of the Face ID on the iPhone X, Facebook is convinced that other companies will move in this direction and are now beginning to test a new system for unlocking accounts: facial recognition.

It’s an easy way to check your identity very quickly. More security for users and a much faster system than the current one.

Facebook will not use the Face ID data saved on the device because they are encrypted and not accessible by anyone. So the social network will ask for a second scan of your face, just as Apple does when the iPhone starts.

Trusting or not Facebook is something that only you can establish.
