A month ago, we talked about research conducted by Mount Sinai which revealed that the Apple Watch can detect “subtle changes in an individual’s heartbeat” up to seven days before the onset of COVID-19 symptoms. of a positive test.
Today, the research has been peer-reviewed by the Journal of Medical Internet Research :
A new study by researchers from Mount Sinai published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Medical Internet Research found that wearable hardware, and specifically the Apple Watch, can effectively predict a positive diagnosis of COVID-19 up to a week before the current PCR-based nasal swab tests.
The study is being conducted using Mount Sinai staff who have volunteered to participate in the research. The Warrior Watch study is still ongoing, although the results learned through the study may already be usable for implementing preventative measures if the first COVID-19 infections were reported by the Apple Watch.
