Apple Watch 2 could be thinner and lighter thanks to “One Glass Solution Technology”

According to reports from DigiTimes , the second generation of Apple Watch  could be characterized by the display technology “One Glass Solution” (OGS) , instead of the “Glass on Glass” (G / G).

The technology “One Glass Solution” allows to do without one of the layers of glass of a traditional display G / G, which has two. The layer is replaced by a thinner material . The transition to the new technology would allow Apple to ‘create’ a thinner device and lighter than the previous model .

Apple Watch 2, according to rumors, will present minor changes with regard to the design. The most interesting news should focus instead cellular connectivity, a faster processor and a battery with greater autonomy.
