iPhone sales start to rise again in China, after recording a 60% drop in February.

Apple shipped around 2.5 million iPhone to China last month, recording a small but significant increase in sales after one of its worst months in the country.

In February, the company sold fewer than 500,000 iPhones in China, with a nearly 60% drop in sales. Mobile phone companies in general are hoping to see an increase in demand in China , where government restrictions to combat the spread of the virus have recently been eased.

Meanwhile, numerous third-party retailers in China have offered discounts on the iPhone 11 lineup in an attempt to strengthen demand at a time when consumers don’t want to spend on this type of goods.

Similarly, Chinese retailers offered similar discounts on the iPhone XS and iPhone XR models in early 2019, shortly after Apple lowered its revenue guide for the first quarter of fiscal 2019 due to weak iPhone demand.
