Apple has just released the version of OS X 10.10.5 . The update cites improvements to stability, compatibility and security of the system, while stressing the specific fixes for the Mail, Photos and QuickTime .


Over the last few months Apple has tested this version of the software developers and beta testers public. The update can be downloaded by all Mac users through the Updates section of the Mac App Store.


According to the release notes, OS X 10.10.5 ” improves compatibility with some servers when using the Mail application , “” resolves an issue that prevented Photo importing video from GoPro “, and” resolves an issue QuickTime Player that prevented playback of Windows Media files . “
