Beats owned by Apple today introduced the Beats Solo Pro, its first on-ear headphones with active noise cancellation.
Beats has launched its first major redesign of its Beats Solo Pro on-ear since it was purchased by Apple in 2014. The brand new Solo Pro headphones mix active noise cancellation and “Hey Siri”, auto-power and more. Solo Pro is also the first Beats headset to introduce a new ambient noise feature called Transparency.
Beats Solo Pro offers a new look that combines Beats EP and Beats Studio headphones while maintaining the on-ear design of previous Beats Solo headphones. The new generation headphones are also equipped with completely new features for the Solo line:
- Pure active noise cancellation with a redesigned ear piece
- The transparency function allows us to hear ambient noise using microphones
- Explain to turn on, fold to turn off
Solo Pro also includes Apple’s H1 chip that first appeared in second-generation AirPods and then on Beats Powerbeats Pro. This wireless chip powers the ” Hey Siri ” voice activation and Beats Solo Pro works with the new feature in Apple audio sharing on iOS 13, even with Pure ANC or Transparency.
In terms of battery life, Beats promises up to 22 hours of audio playback when using active noise cancellation or transparency. You can disable both features to get up to 40 hours of playback.
The Beats Solo Pro headphones recharge using an included Lightning cable, just like iPhone, BeatsX and Powerbeats Pro: no more micro USB. A quick 10-minute recharge can provide up to 3 hours of playback.
The Beats Solo Pro headphones are available for pre – order starting today. Only Pro is sold for € 299.95 and will be available starting October 30th. Six color options are available including black, ivory and gray, as well as matt finishes in dark blue, light blue and red.
