A patent application filed by Apple includes a case for future AirPods that in addition to being waterproof, can become a wireless charging dock for iPhone and Apple Watch.
The patent application describes the home of AirPods as an enclosure that increases its functions, becoming a device that can charge Apple Watch and future iPhone and iPad that will introduce the possibility of wireless charging.
In the patent it is known a slightly modified design with the insertion of an inductive plate on the back of the case.
