IPhone users should choose Apple Maps for three reasons, according to the Cupertino company.
Interviewed by CNN , product lead David Dorn and design lead Meg Frost of Apple Maps described some new features introduced with iOS 15 and explained why they think iPhone users should use Apple Maps and not competing products, such as Google Maps and Waze.
According to Dorn, there are three reasons whyApple Maps is the best choice:
- Apple is investing heavily in Maps to improve the service.
- Privacy is always a central issue for Apple and for this reason Apple Maps does not collect user data by tracking their location.
- Apple Maps is part of the Apple ecosystem and fits perfectly with other services and devices.
Apple’s efforts to improve its navigation app are available in iOS15 starting with the 3D details of some areas of London, New York and Los Angeles (to name a few cities). And then, of course, the same navigation system has been updated, now more precise, functional and – which is good – more pleasing to the eye.
