Former White House press secretary Jay Carney is reportedly in the running to be Apple’s next PR chief, reports Recode. Apple’s been looking for a new PR head ever since Katie Cotton, the ‘Queen’ of PR Tech retired back in May.
Carney started worked for the Obama administration in 2011 before deciding to step down in June of 2014.
Former Obama White House press secretary Jay Carney (whose name is also being bandied about for the other big job opening in tech PR, at Apple).
Carney is also in the running for Uber’s head of PR position. Earlier last month it was reported that Apple was looking for a friendlier, more approaching PR chief as several other candidates are being considered.
