During the Time Flies event, Apple officially unveiled the new Apple Watch Series 6 with blood oxygen detection, new colorways and more.

Apple today announced a new Apple Watch Series 6 , packed with new features including blood oxygen monitoring and several new color options.

watchOS 7 also offers sleep monitoring and will alert users if it detects low VO2 Max levels.

Blood oxygen levels between 95% and 100% are considered healthy; Blood oxygen levels below 80% can impair heart and brain function. The risk of respiratory or cardiac arrest is common after continually low blood oxygen saturation. If Apple Watch detects a blood oxygen level below a certain threshold, it will trigger a notification for the user.

Apple Watch Series 6 comes with the new, faster S6 chip, with faster performance and new sensors, including an altimeter.

Apple also announced new color options for the Apple Watch, including a PRODUCT (RED) variant and a new blue finish.

Apple Watch Series 6 also includes several new watch faces, including a Memoji-themed one.
