Apple’s efforts to develop its first self-driving electric car continue.

In recent years, Apple has consistently hired auto experts as the development of the famous “Project Titan” continues.

According to reports today by Business Insider, Apple has hired Dr Manfred Harrer, former Vice President of Chassis Development Porsche.

Business Insider says Porsche, Apple, and Dr Harrer declined to comment on the report. It is unclear what role Harrer will take at Apple, but rumour has it that he will be involved in creating the chassis for the vehicle.

In the last period, the news about the Apple Car has intensified. Just yesterday, trusted analyst Kuo revealed that Apple is likely to use Hyundai’s E-GMP electric battery platform for its electric car, with the future vehicle set to be marketed as a “very high-end” model
