The company reportedly stored an unspecified product in the Bluetooth SIG database in October 2020.

At the end of October, Apple filed an unspecified product in the Bluetooth SIG database called “B2002”, under the category “Personal Computer” and a model number “TBD”. Today, the company registered the three new Mac M1s under the same heading.

MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro and Mac mini M1, in fact, were added to the list on February 10, 2021.

While these additions to the database rule out the possibility that the “TBD” item is a Mac M1, the list still remains a mystery. Many other existing Apple products can be excluded, as there are separate listings for the iPhone 12 line, Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE, AirPods Max, HomePod mini, 4th generation iPad Air, 8th generation iPad, the latest models of iPad Pro and more.

Apple products expected to arrive during 2021 include the long-awaited AirTags, a new Apple TV, second-generation AirPods Pro and more, but it’s unclear what the “TBD” list represents.

In addition to whole products, Apple occasionally stores components in the Bluetooth SIG database, such as the H1 chip found in second-generation AirPods and the W2 chip in the Apple Watch Series 3.
