The iPad mini hasn’t been updated for about two years, but Apple may be ready to release a big update to the device.

Apple will reportedly release an iPad mini Pro model in the second half of this year.

Sources say the device will be equipped with an 8.7-inch display, housed in chassis that has a greater width and reduced height than the current iPad mini 5.

This so-called “iPad mini Pro” would have passed Apple’s initial R&D and product planning stages, and is currently in the “P2” design phase, with the company poised to begin design validation testing soon. DVT).

The design of the device will be similar to that of the iPad Pro, with thin bezels and no Home button. However, the source does not reveal whether the new tablet will be equipped with Face ID or if the company will decide to integrate Touch ID into the Home button.
