Apple most advanced OS, iOS 9 has seen the fastest adoption ever, with over 50% of devices already on the new firmware.Breaking iOS 7 and 8 first week released records.
iOS 9 was released on September 16th, 2015 and Apple says that over 50% of devices had upgraded to the new firmware by September 19, 2015, as measured by the App Store.
For comparison, iOS 8 reached 46% adoption four days after launching.
It’s likely that adoption of iOS 9 will see a boost on Friday as Apple launches its next generation iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
