A leaker shared the first images of the alleged third-generation AirPods.
It has been rumored for some time now that the next third-generation AirPods will adopt a similar design to the Pro model, although they will not come with some premium features such as noise cancellation.
Today, 52audio shared some images showing the alleged earphones and their case. The leaker in the past has shared some images of the AirPods 3, but which later turned out to be fake. In fact, in November, 52audio shared an X-ray image of the earphones.
The image shared today, however, is in line with all the rumours leaked so far. A few months ago, Bloomberg reported that the new AirPods will be very similar to the Pro model, with a smaller stem but, as mentioned above, without the premium features that will remain exclusive to the more expensive model.
According to 52audio, the new headphones will feature a pressure release system , the same technology found in the AirPods Pro. The system aims to equalize the pressure inside the ear to eliminate any discomfort resulting from prolonged use of the earphones.
Additionally, the third generation AirPods may also be equipped with the same touch controls found on the Pro model.
Finally, the report states that the AirPods 3 are likely to be priced around $ 150 and will be released in March 2021.
