iOS 7 brought a lot of features users cared most, in a way solved problem relating to jailbreaking of the iPhone and the iPad. Prior to iOS 7 the Do Not Disturb feature only silenced notifications when your device was locked or in sleep mode. Apple realized this was a problem for users so it was modified in iOS 7, it is now possible to suppress notifications even when your are actively using your iPhone.

Here’s how:

  1. Launch the Settings App from the main Home Screen of your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down and tap on Do Not Disturb.
  3. Move to the button under the Silence  section, tap on Always boom you are.

Your iPhone will now silence all notifications , not just the ones that come in when your iPhone is locked.
