Apple in iOS 13 introduced multi-cam recording support, allowing applications to simultaneously capture video, audio, depth from different cameras, microphones and sensors on a single iPhone or iPad.

Currently this function is not integrated in the native Camera application on iOS 13, but Apple has made the APIs available to developers to be able to integrate it into third-party applications. This will allow us for example to record a video both with the front camera and the rear camera , or to make a video call for example to the stadium, framing both us and the playing field.

It will be up to the developers to decide how best to integrate these new features into their applications. The first results should come out already this fall, when the final version of iOS 13 will be released.

Unfortunately this feature will be available exclusively for the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and the latest iPad Pro (2018) .

The other features, news and small changes present in iOS 13 can be found in our dedicated article . The page in question is constantly updated.
