In recent weeks, WhatsApp is working on many features to be implemented in future updates.
The last update changelog, available includes some improvements to the user interface, support for automatic playback of consecutive voice messages and early information on Dark mode.
WhatsApp is working on another important feature, much requested by users in recent years. Support for Touch ID and Face ID in the application!
In the privacy settings, we will find in a future update a new option called Touch ID.
If the device supports Face ID, obviously we will find Face ID as an option.
When Touch ID (or Face ID) will be enabled, WhatsApp will add a higher level of protection to the app, if Touch ID (or Face ID ) does not work temporarily (due to too many unsuccessful attempts), WhatsApp will ask the user to enter the code unlocking the iPhone.
We do not know when the feature will be publicly available for everyone, as it is currently in an alpha phase.
