Apple has just released watchOS 9.1, an update for Apple Watch that introduces several new features.

watchOS ‌9.1 can be downloaded for free via the dedicated Watch app on iPhone by going to General> Software Update.

To install the new software, the Apple Watch must have at least 50 percent battery, must be placed on a charger, and must be within range of ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌the iPhone‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌.

Extended battery life during outdoor walking, running and hiking workouts with the ability to reduce heart rate and GPS readings on Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE (2nd generation) and Apple Watch Ultra
Music can be downloaded to the Apple Watch at any time, on the go, even if the device is not connected to a power
Matter, the new connectivity standard for the smart home, is supported by allowing a wide variety of smart home accessories to work together across ecosystems
This update also includes bug fixes for your Apple Watch.

Voice feedback of average pace during outdoor running may not be correct
Estimates of rain probabilities shown in the Weather app may not match estimates on iPhone at your current location
Hourly weather complications may label the times as AM during PM hours
The length of time displayed during strength training may not advance for some users
VoiceOver may not announce the app name when multiple notifications are received
