The company will grant its employees in the United States up to four hours of paid vacation time to volunteer or vote on Election Day.
Apple will grant to all its employees in the United States fino to four hours of paid leave to vote in the elections to be held Tuesday, November 3rd.
Today, the company sent a memo to all of its U.S. employees, telling them about the new initiative:
“If you plan to work on Election Day, we will provide you with up to four hours of paid leave to allow you to go to the polls.” “If they wish, our teams can also use these hours to volunteer in one of the local polling stations.”
Other technology companies such as Twitter, Uber, and Lyft provide employees with paid holidays on Election Day.
