Samsung has stolen trade secrets from rival company Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC), a leading independent manufacturer of semiconductors. The South Korean giant would “get” these secrets by a former executive of TSMC.
According to a report published a few hours ago by DigiTimes , the Taiwanese court ruled that Mong-Song Liang, a former executive at TSMC, revealed secrets and patents relating to new production technology FinFET developed by the Taiwanese company with Samsung Electronics .
The report is not called into question Apple, but the picture seems to be very clear: Samsung would presumably exploit the stolen information for the production of chip A9 Apple .
Citing a report published by the magazine Taiwanese CommonWealth , DigiTimes reported that Liang has played a key role in the “clash” between Samsung and TSMC, she won the first, in the production of chips at 14 / 16nm. The report states that the Supreme Court ruled that Liang will not work for Samsung until 31 December 2015.
