According to Kuo, the iPhones 13 will receive significant camera upgrades.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared some interesting details about the iPhone 13 line coming in 2021.

According to Kuo, the iPhone 13 will come in the same four sizes as the iPhone 12, but with some major improvements to the camera technology . Notably, the analyst says the Ultra Wide cameras on the two high-end models will be upgraded to f / 1.8, 6P (six-element lens) with autofocus. All current ‌iPhone 12‌ models are equipped with Ultra Wide f / 2.4, 5P (five element lens) cameras with fixed focus.

Additionally, Kuo also expects all new iPhones 2022 (tentatively called ‌iPhone‌ 14) to be equipped with the same improved Ultra Wide camera with f / 1.8, 6P and autofocus.

The analyst says Largan will become the leading moving coil motor (VCM) supplier for the improved Ultra Wide cameras. The company is expected to get around 70% of VCM orders for ‌iPhone 13.

While there won’t be any major design changes, Kuo notes that iPhone 13 shipments will outpace those of iPhone 12.
