The Bloomberg reporter reveals tons of details about all of Apple’s upcoming operating systems that will be unveiled during WWDC22.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will introduce an improved lock screen in iOS 16 , new multitasking in iPadOS 16, better browsing in watchOS 9, additional smart home features in tvOS 16, redesigned apps in macOS 13, and more.
In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter , Gurman outlined his expectations for all of Apple’s upcoming operating systems, including iOS 16 , iPadOS 16 , watchOS 9 , tvOS 16 , and macOS 13 . The reporter believes the updates will be “significant enough”.
iOS 16
Apple is reportedly planning to introduce a number of lock screen changes in iOS 16, with a number of widgets that will display various information to users.
Additionally, Gurman expects the Messages app to get “more social networking-like functionality, especially for audio messaging.”
iPadOS 16
As for iPadOS 16, Gurman expects “major changes to windows and multitasking”.
tvOS 16
On tvOS 16 probably the interface will not change at all but there will be “more connections for the smart home”, so the home automation devices will be better controlled.
watchOS 9
watchOS 9, on the other hand, will bring “significant improvements that affect daily operation and navigation”, along with new watch faces and a new power saving mode .
macOS 13
The reporter also says Apple will redesign the System Preference app in macOS 13 to make it more like the iOS Settings app, as well as individual settings organized by apps and other redesigns for the default apps.
