Apple brings to life the classic Apple “Music Quiz” game launched for the first time on iPod models with Click Wheel.

On older Click Wheel iPod models  there was a mini game called Music Quiz , which involves guessing correctly which song was playing. With iOS 14, Apple reintroduced the game through a shortcut.

On the iPod, Music Quiz played a number of songs randomly and provided five different options for guessing the title. The version available on iOS 14 is quite similar to the original version of the game.

The game on iOS 14 is part of the ” Initial Links ” folder , within which we find four different links that show users what they can with the app.

To find and play Music Quiz on our iPhone or iPad with iOS 14 or iPadOS 14, we follow the following steps:

  1. Let’s open the Commands app
  2. Touch the tab ” My shortcuts “
  3. Use the search bar and search for ” Music Quiz “
  4. We touch the shortcut ” Music Quiz ” and then click on ” Play “
  5. We allow the link to access the Apple Music library

Since the mini-game only works with the system’s native Music app, it requires songs purchased from iTunes, synced from a computer or Apple Music

Once we have run Music Quiz, all we have to do is turn up the volume of our iPhone or iPad to hear the songs and guess them correctly.

The game has five rounds and displays the five different answers on the screen with the names of the songs, artists and album covers. We can continue playing more rounds or even share our score on social networks.

What’s more interesting, however, is the fact that the mini-game was built entirely with Apple’s shortcuts, which shows just how powerful the app is.
