Apple finally announced the release date of macOS Monterey, announced alongside iOS 15 at WWDC21.

At the Unleashed event the great – and announced – protagonists were the new 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro (with the notch on the display, just as suggested a few days ago by this leak. But macOS Monterey when?

At the end of the event, Apple announced that the new major update of the Mac operating system will be available for download on Monday 25 October, so in a week. Monterey does not bring with it any revolution in terms of design but introduces important improvements that improve the user experience. Among the most awaited news there is certainly Universal Control, “disappeared” however during the beta testing period.

  • MacBook Pro: early 2015 and later
  • Mac Pro: Late 2013 and later
  • Mac mini: Late 2014 and later
  • MacBook: early 2018 and later
