Apple Ming-Chi Kuo analyst revealed some additional details about the iPhone SE 2.
As previously stated, the specifications of the iPhone SE 2 are very similar to the iPhone 8. Kuo states that the new device will come in 64GB and 128GB storage configurations with three colour options: silver, space grey and red. It also provides that the base price will be $ 399.
Although the design of the phone will be identical to the iPhone 8, it will be equipped with the latest A13 chip and 3 GB of RAM. This means that it will have the same processor as the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro, albeit with 1 GB less RAM.
Kuo believes that Apple has told suppliers to produce between 2 and 4 million iPhone SEs 2 units a month. The analyst expects Apple to sell over 30 million new devices in 2020.
In the TF Securities report, Ming-Chi Kuo says it expects iPhone SE 2 prices to start at $ 399. The device is particularly aimed at encouraging the owners of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, as this year they cannot update to iOS 13.
Kuo continues to believe that Apple will announce the iPhone SE 2 in the first quarter of next year.
