Talking about iPhone X we have already heard several times saying “The price is absurd .. it’s a phone but it costs as much as a computer.” Actually the price is very high but at performance level, this new iPhone is also more than a computer.
According to the first Benchmark published by Geekbench, the score to establish this smartphone is really impressive and surpasses that of the latest 13-inch MacBook Pro (mid 2017).
On a single core, the iPhone X reaches the 4061 score, surpassing the MacBook stopping at 4036. The difference is almost imperceptible, but becomes more apparent in the multi-core test where the iPhone X reaches 9959 against the computer’s 8869.
If we compare this new iPhone with the latest Samsung device, the Galaxy S8, Apple has doubles its single core performance and far exceeds the result that the S8 gets by using all the 8 core it owns, I look at the 6 core of the iPhone X.
The credit goes to the new A11 Bionic processor, 70% more efficient than the A10 and 25% faster. The GPU also plays a key role as the new iPhone incorporates fully-featured graphics from Apple that requires less power and is 30% faster than the previous one; particularly suited to complex games, ARKit and Metal 2. Both CPU and GPU are optimized by machine learning.
