Apple may have plans to introduce a Force Touch Home button on the iPhone 7 , according to analysts Cowen and Company . These have also added that the next top-of-range of Apple will not have a physical home button, which will instead be flush with the device.

The Force Touch technology Apple implemented the Home button would allow the latter to recognize different levels of pressure, just like the trackpad on newer MacBook.

Cowen and Company has a mixed track record, but rumors about this possible new iPhone 7 have also been launched by other industry experts. For example, in April, DigiTimes reported that Apple was testing a touch-sensitive Home button, and blurry images of a supposed iPhone 7 with this feature have emerged in June.

The rumor, as such, must be taken with the tongs. In fact, we expect news from a reliable source, with the well-known KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
