For weeks we are talking with a certain insistence of the much-rumored new iPhone with 6.1 “LCD display. Well, the last rumor in chronological order suggests that the smartphone will have a “Full Active LCD” produced by Japan Display.

According to a report by MacOtakara,  the next 6.1 “iPhone will provide users with a Full Active Display of Japan Pixels, characterized by the touch sensor” Japan Pixel Eyes”. Thanks to this solution, manufacturers can guarantee significantly thinner frames, even reaching 0.5mm. To make a comparison, the frames of the iPhone X measure 1mm.

This is not the first time rumors have come of adopting such a display technology. An article from The Wall Street Journal dating back to last year revealed a collaboration between Apple and Japan Display for an unidentified device, but today we can assume that it is the display for one of the three new iPhone of 2018.

The report also reads that Apple is facing production issues for the 6.1 “iPhone LCD. This is not a novelty, rather a confirmation.
