iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max accounted for 69% of iPhone sales in the United States in 4Q19

iPhone 11 represented 39% of sales of the iPhone in the US in the fourth quarter of 2019, according to a new report CIRP. In combination with iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, Apple’s latest generation smartphones accounted for 69% of iPhone sales in the quarter.

“The latest iPhone models account for over two thirds of sales in the quarter,” said Josh Lowitz, partner and co-founder of CIRP. “And iPhone 11 accounted for over half of that share, with 39% of total sales.

”At the same time, iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max each achieved a significant share, both at 15%. The iPhone XR, released in 2018, has inaugurated a new size profile and remains popular thanks to the reduced price. A year ago, iPhone XR dominated the quarter as iPhone 11 this year. The then new iPhone XS and XS Max had a slightly smaller combined size than the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. ”

CIRP estimates that the weighted average price of iPhones in the United States is now $ 809, up from $ 783 in the previous quarter, but down from $ 839 in the previous year’s quarter.
