According to company data, as of this morning, 20.27% of users are using iOS 13. Meanwhile, 74.66% use iOS 12 and the remaining 5.08% run a previous version of iOS. There is still a long way to go, but it’s a fantastic start.
The data is based on visits to websites and apps that incorporate the Mixpanel analysis suite. Although this is not 100% secure, the data is based on around 200 million records, ensuring that they are particularly accurate.
The adoption rate of iOS 13 appears to be roughly on par with iOS 12, albeit somewhat ahead. Mixpanel reported that 19.14% of devices used iOS 12 a week after its release. iOS 13 has exceeded 20% for the equivalent seven-day period.
The general public seems to be satisfied with iOS 13, especially as it includes features long requested in the community like the Dark Mode. Apple Music’s new real-time text feature was also a great success. However, iOS 13 has gained a little buggy reputation, particularly with regards to problems with the Camera app on the new iPhone 11 models. Apple has accelerated the release of iOS 13.1 to help solve many of the early problems.
