iOS 12 will share our position during emergency calls

Apple has recently announced another new feature of iOS 12 regarding emergency calls. Calling from an iPhone with this operating system, we will also automatically share our position.

Thanks to a special software included in iOS 12, emergency calls will also share our position. Apple has guaranteed that this will not compromise our privacy at all, as the data can only be seen by those directly affected. This could greatly increase the probability of being found by an ambulance or patrol in an emergency.

This new function can be used exclusively in US territory, by calling the 911 emergency number. In the future Apple may decide to extend the service to other countries, looking for agreements directly with the local companies that deal with this technology.
