With the release of iOS 11 in September, Apple will terminate the software support for 32-bit devices. All owners of iPhone 5 / 5c or the previous models iPad Air and iPad Mini 2 will no longer receive software updates for your device.

Apple will unveil the next version of iOS at the WWDC 2017 to be held in June in San Jose. Then, pretty much all summer, developers and beta testers public will have the opportunity to test early versions of iOS 11. Finally in September to releasing the final version, probably soon after the presentation of the new iPhone event.

This year the devices that most likely will not be able to install the new version of iOS will all iPhone and iPad 32-bit. As for the iPhone, the first 64-bit device was the iPhone 5s, then others come out earlier will not be updated. The iPad Air and the iPad Mini 2 were instead the first Apple tablet to mount a unit of 64-bit calculation. Again previous models can not be upgraded from iOS 11.
